Jan Weigner

Jan is co-founder of Cinegy, and today is its CTO and president. He has long been a strong advocate for using IP connectivity for media signals: regular IBC visitors will remember the Cinegy poster campaign from some years ago, headlined “SDI must die”. Today he leads a team of developers working on dynamic, adaptable and inherently powerful software solutions for real-world media applications, supporting asset management, playout and delivery. As well as meeting the broadcast goals, the software is also designed for maximum efficiency in a time when the carbon footprint is a critical metric.
