Hitomi Hamaba

Hitomi is the Head of Product & Marketing Lead for News, Cloud & AI Solutions at Sony Media Solutions, leading strategic direction, development, and marketing of products designed for the media industry. She is passionate about revitalising traditional media business through digitisation and transformation.

Her career started as a journalist, reporting for TV broadcasters in Japan. After earning an MBA, she transitioned to the tech side of the media industry, joining a rapidly growing startup in the media space before moving to Sony. She currently leads teams to leverage new technologies including C2PA, AI & cloud, to drive innovation and change in the media sector.

 She joined the Rise mentoring programme in 2023.
