Girish Bajaj

Girish Bajaj is the Vice President of Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios Technology worldwide. In this role, he is focused on inventing the future of video streaming technology, pioneering new ways to view and search for content, building business flexibility and speed, while also scaling to support an ever-growing customer-base. Our ability to aggregate content at scale allows us to be a one stop entertainment destination that offers a large collection of premium entertainment in a single application, with one password, and one payment method in an easy-to-use interface that is available on nearly every device that streams video in the world.

Girish started with Amazon in 2006, as a Software Development Engineer in the Digital Organization working to develop Kindle, and in 2012 he joined Prime Video to launch on the iOS app. Since then he has launched the technology that powers our channels business, expanded the service in over 200 countries and territories WW, rolled out X-Ray features that enhances the customer experience during playback, Live Events including Thursday Night Football, and Prime Video Ads, all while supporting hundreds of millions of customers, in over 30 different languages, on all major OTT enabled devices globally. His global organization has leveraged computer vision and machine learning, specialized hardware, distributed systems, and AI to enable growth and delight customers worldwide.

Girish holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from the University of Houston.
