Gary Hamer

Gary Hamer is a senior Pay TV executive with over 20 years of experience in IPTV and OTT. He joined SmartLabs in 2014 and now leads sales and business development, supporting the company’s evolution into a comprehensive provider of IPTV/OTT platforms, UIs, STBs, and applications serving millions of users worldwide.
Gary’s Pay TV journey began at BT, where he played a key role in the company’s early IPTV development efforts. This sparked a long-standing commitment to advancing TV over broadband.
He then joined Yes TV, where he helped deliver large-scale IPTV deployments in hospitality and education, including a 24,000-room rollout. At Amino, as SVP Global Sales, he built and led teams delivering projects across the Americas during IPTV’s rapid global growth phase.
A long-time IPTV evangelist, Gary has played a key role in supporting operators and driving the industry's evolution from early IPTV trials to today’s mainstream streaming platforms used by global players.
