Fran Cassidy has had over 25 years experience in the media sector- in agencies, as a client, and as a media owner. For 25+ years she has been responsible for researching the media and broadcasting sector in a variety of these roles. For 12 years she was Marketing Director of Carlton Television, part of the ITV network, one of the largest commercial broadcasting companies in Europe. For the last 8 years she has run an independent marketing consultancy specialising in on line and off line media, marketing services and entertainment sectors both in the UK and internationally. Clients include Facebook, News International, Channel 4, MTG, BARB, ABC, and Sky. Advertiser clients include Honda, Barclays, Nationwide Building Society and Harrods. Fran's international experience includes producing emerging market analysis and recommendations for Facebook across SE Asia; Hong Kong, South Africa and Latin America; Broadcasting consultancy in Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe; and managing international pitches for Sky Television. She also regularly chairs professional development courses for the European Group of Television Advertising Companies (EGTA). Fran is also a Board Director of The Marketing Society in the UK and produces their Global Annual Conference.
