Eline van der Velden

Eline van der Velden is the Founder & CEO of the award-winning, London-based AI production company Particle6, as well as Founder & CEO of Xicoia, the world’s first AI talent Studio. She is best known for creating Tilly Norwood, arguably the first AI superstar.

Eline began her entertainment career by training to be an actor, before pursuing a Master’s in Physics and spending a year working on a nuclear fusion Tokamak reactor in Lausanne. Returning to TV in her native Netherlands, she starred in series such as De Troon (The Throne), Overspel and Beatrix. She went on to train in improv comedy in Los Angeles, eventually creating her own comedy show, Miss Holland, on DailyMotion and winning Best Online Comedy at the 2013 Lovie Awards. The show was later picked up by BBC Three and NPO/Vara in the Netherlands.

Eline then moved into producing at Endemol Beyond and, ahead of the curve, began launching YouTube shows for KSI and other influencers. Straddling both business and performing, she became the Managing Director of the Dutch video platform Makers Channel, which was successfully acquired by Benelux conglomerate De Persgroep in November 2016.

The exit allowed her to launch Particle6, and she repeated her digital series success multiple times over with shows for the BBC, Amazon, Sky, Hearst Networks and the world's no. 1 mobile gaming company, Mihoyo Genshin Impact. Today, Particle6 is at the forefront of AI production, using it across the production process on its own shows, such as Two Sides of History for Sky History and Straten von Teon for HISTORY Channel in the Netherlands, as well as co-producing content with a range of partners and training and advising other content businesses. Particle6 also has a rapidly expanding Campaign and Brand division, creating advertisements and other commercial content for agencies and brand owners.

For Xicoia, amongst other things, Eline is busy creating the Tillyverse, where Tilly Norwood will live, work and interact with a wide range of other AI characters in development. Most recently, she produced Take the Lead, a music video featuring Tilly Norwood that showcases the very latest AI capabilities, including performance capture, with Eline using her acting skills to ‘power’ Tilly.

Eline lives outside London with her husband, daughter and two dogs. When she isn't running Particle6 she gets very serious about tennis and still hopes to save the world with nuclear fusion one day.
