Dr Thanapant Raicharoen

Air Marshal Thanapant Raicharoen has served as Commissioner of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) since April 2022. In this role, Dr Thanapant has overall supervision and implementation of regulation, policy and strategy development activities on radiocommunication and broadcasting in Thailand. Prior to this, Air Marshal Thanapant was Deputy Secretary-General of Spectrum Management and Regional Affairs of the Office of the NBTC since 2013 where he played an important role on development and pushing forward the regulations both in regional and international on technology standardisation, radio regulation, spectrum management, spectrum monitoring and satellite orbital management. In this role, he also serve as a Chair for the working group on the preparation of the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) 2015 and 2019 of Thailand. Air Marshal Thanapant received his Ph.D. in Computer Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He holds both a Masters and Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, University of Federal Armed Forces at Munich, Germany through the Royal Thai, and German Air Force Scholarship.
