Dilshan De Silva

Dilshan leads the Future Friendly Technology Services Frictionless team at TELUS - spanning TV Platform Architecture, Analytics, Cloud Infrastructure, Program Management and Operations for all TELUS video services. Prior to TELUS, Dilshan was a founding employee and Vice-president of Operations & Engineering at Espial Group in Ottawa which was acquired by Enghouse Networks in 2019. He successfully implemented Agile development processes, led Espial’s STB middleware development, and delivered and launched several TV services for global Operators and SmartTV vendors, including a multi-tenant Hosted Cloud IPTV SaaS platform serving over a million subscribers. Dilshan holds a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton University. The Frictionless - Platform Architecture, Analytics, Cloud Infrastructure and Operations team is at the helm of developing and supporting a plethora of TV platforms and features. The team supports software architecture and analytics for new features and services, and is the go-to expert for supporting all TV and digital home initiatives deployed in the cloud. Additionally, they provide overall Tier 1 and 2 operations for new software solutions, as well as TELUS’ end-to-end digital home services. The team serves as both a monitoring hub and the first line of response for detection and resolution
