Executive Director, Women in Technology Hollywood

Caroline Baines is Executive Director of The Global Creative & Security Community (GC-SC), where she brings together leaders and organisations from across the creative, media, entertainment, technology and security sectors to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing and dialogue around the issues shaping the industry.
Based in the UK, Caroline also leads a Content Localisation Council, providing a forum for industry stakeholders to share expertise, explore emerging challenges and opportunities, and collaborate around the evolving global content landscape.
Prior to her current role, Caroline spent 20 years with Futuresource Consulting, building extensive experience in research, consulting and strategic market intelligence. She led the company’s consumer research division and oversaw its outsourced research relationships, managing complex, multi-country custom and consumer research programmes for major blue-chip organisations across the media, entertainment, consumer electronics, professional IT and storage media sectors.
Since 2018, Caroline has worked closely with media and entertainment trade associations, developing a strong understanding of the needs of industry communities and the importance of creating effective platforms for collaboration, networking and shared learning.
Throughout her career, Caroline has worked at the intersection of consumer insight, technology, content and industry strategy, helping global organisations understand changing markets and audiences and translate those insights into meaningful business opportunities.
Caroline holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Goldsmiths, University of London.
