Global Director of Social TV, Kantar Media
Carlos Sánchez is Kantar Media's Global Director of Social TV. Carlos founded The Data Republic in 2011 with three other partners, a start-up that worked by analysing social data gathered from social networks with the aim of applying this huge new source of information about consumer behaviour to generate a new market research methodology. In May 2012, The Data Republic launched Tuitele, which offered the Spanish TV networks and advertisers a new way to analyse TV audiences, as well as to plan and measure advertising effectiveness. In April 2014, The Data Republic was acquired by Kantar, with Carlos appointed to form the newly created global Social TV unit of Kantar Media. Carlos graduated in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and has developed his professional career in the fields of market research and entrepreneurship, both in the public and private sectors.
