Brian Claypool is currently the VP of Product Management for Christie's Global Cinema Business, recently rejoining Christie from Barco where he was the VP of Strategic Business Development for Barco's Entertainment Division, residing for 7 years in Belgium. Originally from Ohio, where his first job was as a projectionist at the local movie theater, Brian has over 25 years of experience in the broadcast and cinema entertainment industry holding positions  ranging from Program Director and Afternoon Drive on-air talent, to Primetime Television News Director. In 1998, Brian moved west and landed a position with Lucasfilm's THX division as a technical supervisor and over a 5 year period visited and calibrated over 1700 cinemas and mixing stages worldwide. Brian subsequently occupied positions with Avica Technology as well as Christie Digital Systems from 2004 to 2010. Brian attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where he majored in Engineering and minored in Music Performance. An active member of SMPTE, he also serves on the SMPTE Board of Governors representing the Central Region.
