Ben is the President and CEO of Backlight, a media technology company that elevates every stage of the video and entertainment content lifecycle - from creation through monetization. While a senior advisor at growth equity firm, PSG, Ben led the strategy and creation of Backlight  including the investment, acquisition and integration efforts of six cloud-based media technology companies: ftrack, Celtx, iconik, Wildmoka, Maz and Zype.

Ben has more than 20 years of experience building high-growth SaaS companies. Prior to joining PSG, Ben was president and CEO of CashStar, a leading provider of mobile prepaid software solutions, which was later acquired by Blackhawk Network. Earlier in his career, Ben held executive and leadership positions at Cartera Commerce (acquired by Rakuten), KNOVA Software (acquired by Consona), Broadbase Software (IPO) and Commerce One (IPO). Ben received a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College.
