Angus Stewart

Angus Stewart is the Portfolio Lead for Media Solutions at Telstra Broadcast Services, and a recognised serial innovator in emerging technologies across the broadcast and IoT sectors.

A strong advocate in leveraging 5G technology for professional media applications, Angus has been instrumental in driving Telstra’s 5G media strategy in slicing, and his recent achievements include leading a regional first live-to-air broadcast over the 5G public sliced network, and winning Best Mobile Solution at the Australian Communications Industry Awards 2023 for his 5G-powered hybrid cinema platform.

With a multi-disciplinary career spanning over 20 years across roles from master control, support, architecture, project management and product management to sales, business development and strategy, in the Australasian and European broadcast industries. Angus holds a Master of Project Management, as well as degrees in Economics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Overall, Angus’s deep understanding of both technical and commercial realities in emerging tech industries, combined with a natural flair for people and storytelling, makes him a valuable contributor to the International Broadcasting Convention. He is eager to share his insights into the practical adoption of monetisable 5G technologies to attendees and fellow panellists alike.
