Andy Gower leads BT’s research activities on immersive content and interactive TV applications at BT's Global Technology Centre, Adastral Park in East Anglia. His team is currently focused on exploring how 5G and edge-GPU compute can deliver next generation XR experiences. Andy’s broader interests are concerned with how the metaverse, virtual and augmented reality, multiscreen entertainment and object-based broadcasting will impact audience experiences, production workflows and delivery of content for BT Sport, BTTV and BT Media & Broadcast. Andy regularly publishes and presents at industry events and holds several patents in the field of interactive media.
