Director of Platforms and Distribution, IAAF
Alicia Klein has been working with commercial partners in sports across the globe for 15 years, namely around the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup. She has been with the IAAF since October 2015, most recently as Director of Platforms & Distribution. In her current role, Alicia's is charged with maximising revenue and the promotion of IAAF's brand through the distribution of high level content using traditional and new media platforms, including Broadcast, Digital, OTT and New Technologies. To ensure the IAAF remains relevant and in tune with market trends, her team has recently conducted two major tenders: an RFI towards establishing a Joint Venture for Broadcasting and Media Production, and an RFP for the Europe and Africa Media Rights of the World Athletics Series. Previous experience includes work as Head of Business Development for CSM Sport & Entertainment, Strategic Development and Legacy at the Brazilian Olympic Committee, and Washington Redskins TV. Alicia is the author of A Máquina: Michael Schumacher, o melhor de todos os tempos, a biography of the ultra F1 champion. Alicia is a graduate of Georgetown University's Sports Industry Management Master's program.
