Sky News applies Machine learning at scale and looks towards the future 

Sky News had a vision. In February 2018 with only three months to go ahead of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the 24-hour UK-based international news outlet set out to create immersive live-streamed and on-demand experiences for viewers.  Human and machine minds came together after an intense 90 days of analysis, design, building, testing, and learning, resulting in the world’s first live streamed event enhanced by artificial intelligence at scale. Ultimately, more than half a million viewers from more than 200 countries saw much more than a procession of guest arrivals at St. George’s Chapel on May 19, by using the Sky News Royal Wedding: Who’s Who Live app via mobile devices and web browsers, and on-demand after the event.
