DVB: Shaping the Future of Television
The IEEE BTS partnered together with the DVB Project to host a session covering the latest development of DVB. Over the last 29 years DVB has created and defined the technical basis for digital broadcast. One of the organization’s key current focus is on IP delivery of audio / visual (AV) content. In this session the DVB Project Chairman provided outlook on the future strategy of the organization and their efforts, followed by an overview from the DVB Head of Technology of the ongoing IP related activities. Additionally, well-known industry experts discussed the latest updates on 5G for broadcast distribution, IP based transport and signaling and the development in video codecs.
