While it may seem just as offbeat, the broadcast industry is about to embark on a voyage to discover a new way of doing old things. SDI may seem to be giving way to IP, it may surprise you that during this transition, we are really doing things in relatively the same way we have been. Put your space helmets on and climb aboard the Vogon ship while we review the pillars of SMPTE 2110 and discover all the working parts of this new standard and how it's already starting to emerge. It's also possible to discover '42' but we'll save that for the journey.
