Best of Both Worlds: IP & Broadcast

Increased broadcast network utilization, flexibility, centralization, and resilience aside, one of the biggest advantages of IP is that operators can maintain their familiar production control surfaces and workflows. This session will explore the control and management of IP infrastructure within a hybrid broadcast facility in accordance with the JT-NM roadmap including:

·         Management of IP-based live media workflows to ensure low latency, robustness and delivery for playout;

·         A review of discovery and registration processes;

·         Best practices for connection management and QoS including relative merits of compressed vs uncompressed video in virtualized environments.
