While deploying IP connectivity over SDI brings about immediate benefits within workflows like faster, multi-point connections –it's really only the beginning. In this presentation, James explains how by creating a virtualised live production environment, IP can enable much more. By taking functionality previously executed using SDI and virtualising it with software-based technology, the rigidity of workflows is removed. New 'elastic production' workflows come into force, allowing content producers to quickly expand or reduce their workflows' functionality on an event-by-event basis.
