Broadband networks for years have been augmented to support large-scale video delivery using Adaptive Bit Rate technologies and CDNs. We are now seeing new technologies and reworks of older technologies to go beyond ABR for the full transition. This includes Multicast ABR, Media over QUIC, and even the resurgence of Peer to Peer Technologies and new approaches like L4S.
