EDCF Global Cinema Seminar

13 Sept 2026
E105
IBC Owner & Partners Programme

The European Digital Cinema Forum (EDCF) returns to IBC to host its Global Cinema Seminar, one of the industry's most authoritative annual forums on cinema technology and its future.
What sets the EDCF apart is its genuinely collaborative and holistic approach. Sessions are shaped by, and speak to, every link in the cinema value chain - trade associations, standards bodies, cinema operators, equipment manufacturers, service providers, distributors, post-producers, and content creators - ensuring that the conversations reflect the full complexity of the sector.
This year's programme will tackle the critical technology challenges and strategic opportunities defining cinema's next chapter, spanning areas such as cybersecurity and IT infrastructure, premium formats, HDR, immersive display technologies, alternative content and live playout, accessibility, immersive audio formats, AI in cinema operations, software interoperability and open APIs, energy efficiency, and workforce development. Expect expert-led sessions, candid cross-sector dialogue, and forward-looking perspectives grounded in deep technical expertise.
