Broadcasting's Next Billion: Bringing Global Leaders Together at WAVES 2027

13 Sept 2026
Showcase Theatre
IBC Showcase

The session will position WAVES 2027 as the world's definitive gathering point for media, entertainment and broadcast technology — and India as the growth market no global broadcaster can afford to ignore.

Drawing on the key takeaways of WAVES 2025 — the scale of participation, policy signals and business concluded — the session will look ahead to the opportunities WAVES 2027 in Mumbai aims to unlock. It will showcase WAVES as an enduring global platform that brings creators, media and entertainment companies, technology innovators, investors and governments onto one stage, converting that convergence into collaboration, co-production, investment, technology exchange and market access — a larger, more inclusive ecosystem connecting creators and countries, enabling the world to create, collaborate and grow together.

For the IBC audience, the session will close with ""Broadcast's Next Decade"" — D2M at population scale, AI across the broadcast value chain, streaming economics and big-event broadcasting — and how WAVES 2027 will be the venue where these conversations converge and partnerships are struck.
