This session has 2 papers on the problems and options of distributing accurate time signals, essential to broadcast systems and a wide range of tech, one to be presented from the UK’s National Physical Laboratory. There’s a presentation on using behavioural forecasting for predictive broadband traffic modelling for large scale live events; a presentation on a novel approach to using an overlaid master view to make view choices for live multi-camera events; and a supporting paper on optimising hybrid diesel–battery temporary power systems used in broadcast and film production.
