As broadcasters move towards greater distribution of TV over broadband, we have two papers on the issues broadcasters and consumers face. RTE’s paper covers the rationale behind its decision to pursue DVB-I and i2 Media Research give an overview the fascinating insights from its research on IPTV usability issues for older viewers. A moderated panel discussion chaired by Simon Parnall of Ofcom, the two presenters & Steve Appleby of BT (who is presenting his own paper on multicast distribution on Saturday afternoon) will explore the broader technical policy issues of the move towards delivery over broadband.
