The environmental impact of digital media is no longer abstract. Video now accounts for more than 80% of global internet traffic and up to 3% of electricity use worldwide. From live production to global streaming, the media industry is under growing pressure from regulators, investors, and audiences to take measurable climate action. This MTSS-hosted session at IBC brings together leaders from across media, technology, and adjacent sectors to explore what meaningful progress looks like. It will feature the official launch of the Media Climate Accord (MCA), a new framework developed to align content creators, technology providers, and distributors around a common goal: measurable emissions reductions and a shared path to net-zero. Program Elements Include: Media Climate Accord Launch
