From Multiview, as pioneered by F1 TV, to live wildlife feeds from waterholes in Africa, internet-based connectivity is democratising the media industry by radically changing the economics of capturing and distributing live content to engage audiences worldwide. Internet and 5G connectivity are also extending opportunities for live coverage well beyond the traditional top tier televised sports. This session will explore the new business and monetisation models that have been enabled, the technical challenges that have been overcome and potential for further new use cases.
