Igalia will outline the changes that have been made to the graphics architecture of WPE during the last year, together with the improvements that are planned for the next years, with the goal of getting a simpler to use and performant WPE. These changes include the adoption of ANGLE for WebGL rendering, the replacement of cairo with Skia as the 2D rendering library, and the adoption of DMABuf for buffer sharing, which opens the possibility to create a new and simplified API.
