Efficient content discovery and monetization of image and video libraries relies on appropriate metadata tagging. This presentation explores how utilizing a hierarchical codec, such as SMPTE VC-6, both the asset library size and AI object detection speed can be significantly improved. Test results will be presented, demonstrating how this codec can achieve a 5x increase in detection speed, enhancing the overall efficiency of metadata tagging processes.
