How to squeeze the most out of IBC2019
With over 1,700 exhibitors at IBC2019, 400+ speakers and 15 halls crammed with the latest technology, products and services, how can you best spend your valuable time at the show?
There are several ways you can dive in and do some research. You can browse the Conference Programme for ideas, add your appointments to the interactive Show Planner and download the IBC2019 app to discover talks, events and people you’d like to meet. There’s also a wealth of information here in IBC Insider, including our ultimate show guide (see below).

You can also take an IBC2019 Customer Journey. IBC has created 10 different visitor types that encompass key elements of the show, from learning about new technology to finding the best networking opportunities. All you need to do is go to: show.ibc.org/ibc-2019-experiences. Simply decide which journey matches what you want to get out of this year’s show and follow it.
What sort of visitor are you?
The journeys range from Aspiring Leader (“You are passionate about learning more about this industry, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and understanding your competitors to help you build your career in the industry”) to Company Champion (“You see IBC2019 as a great opportunity to showcase your company’s products and services and, to get a good insight into what your competitors are doing and the latest industry trends.”)
Click on any of the options and you’ll be taken to a downloadable PDF that maps out a suggested itinerary, with suggested content sessions to attend, show floor feature areas to visit (like the Future Zone) and exhibitors to meet.
The Innovator journey, for example, is ideal for anyone who wants to “learn about the latest products and innovations and are most interested in immersive technologies and gaming.”

The Innovator PDF therefore has a transformative, forward-thinking spin, highlighting events such as ‘Rocketman: the story of the edit’ (part of IBC’s Big Screen programme), the ‘Ultra HD Forum IBC Masterclass 2019’ and the convention keynote by Andy Serkis.
The Collaboration Seeker journey takes a different tack, aimed at visitors who “are looking for the very best networking opportunities where you will meet people from a wide range of organisations including from the biggest media conglomerates to start-ups.”
The suggested path here is more diverse, including ‘Defining a new chapter of ultimate video experience with 8K + AI’ and ‘Common OTT problems and how to fix them’. Download it at show.ibc.org/ibc-2019-experiences to find out more.
