Established ‘by the industry for the industry’ in 1967, IBC has continued to evolve over its 53-year history serving the development of the Media, Entertainment & Technology industry. During this time new technologies have continued to emerge in a changing and converging world, that have influenced the development of IBC’s organisation and the evolution of the IBC event.

Six leading international bodies are the owners behind IBC, representing both exhibitors and visitors. Their insights ensure that the annual convention is always relevant, comprehensive and timely. It is with their support that IBC remains the leading international forum for everyone involved in content creation, management and delivery. IBC’s Board is formed by the leaders of these international bodies and hold extensive experience across the industry.
