Online platforms including Facebook, youTube and Periscope have democratized access to live broadcasting and are opening up opportunities for institutions, event organisers and rights owners who traditional broadcasters have not been able to accommodate.  This session will look at the growth in live streaming and the technologies, skills and partnerships that can overcome the technical challenges of delivering a high quality live stream with low latency.  Speakers will also highlight the importance of the user-experience for the online TV providers that wants to stand out in an increasingly crowded live streaming market and compete with traditional live broadcast.
