Over the past five years there has been an unprecedented rise in Over-The-Top (OTT) technology. This demand is fuelled by the appetite for readily available, consumable content and has seen a race between Broadcasters, Telco’s and Cable operators to cut-the-cord and deliver content with as little friction as possible. In an eco-system appealing to the masses, there are organisations who can lavishly invest in R&D departments, mergers and buyouts in order to find solutions - but there are also tier 2 content providers delivering to a smaller, though no less captive audience who require a readily available, cost effective solution. With all new trends, investment in infrastructure is generally a couple of years behind. As such, a Tier 2 organisation venturing into a cordless environment may require a managed service.
