IBC Technical Papers Sessions & Posters

What are the IBC Technical Papers?

What are the IBC Technical Papers?

The IBC Technical Papers and Posters are world renowned for promoting the latest innovations and technological thinking. Stripped of marketing and commercial influence the proposals made to IBC are rigorously peer reviewed and stand or fall on the strength of their expertise, novelty, clarity and insight.

Forming the cornerstone of the IBC Conference, as an integral part of the Advances in Technology stream, the papers and posters provide us with a fascinating barometer of trends in media developments and showcase, explain and forecast advances which will benefit the entire media industry.

The best paper will also receive the accolade of the IBC Best Conference Paper, which in 2016 was awarded to Erik Stare of Teracom, Dr Jordi Giménez of Universitat Politècnica de València and Dr Peter Klenner of Panasonic Europe for their paper 'WIB – A New System Concept for Digital Terrestrial Television'.

Authors of successful synopses are then be invited to prepare full papers for further review.

Benefits of successful papers:

  • the Best Conference Paper will also receive an award presented at the prestigious IBC Awards Ceremony
  • achieve valuable word of mouth reference by the world's leading technologists about your idea, your team or your brand and gain the attention of international technical press

Multi Media Presentation Gallery

Multi Media Presentations (MMP's) (formerly Technical Posters) are peer reviewed alongside the Technical Papers and will be on display at IBC2017 for all attendees to view in the Ruby Lounge.

Like the MMP's, this key area of the show provides a link between the conference and exhibition and here you can meet the authors and gain real insight into the projects being developed in the world’s R&D labs.
