New Awards for IBC2019
This year IBC is excited to add two new awards to reflect the way that the industry has developed globally.
The Young Pioneer Award will recognise rising talent, whether that is creative, commercial or technical.
The Social Impact Award will mark exceptional achievements in diversity, inclusivity and the environment.
Young Pioneer Award
The Young Pioneer Award recognises rising talent in our industry. The winner will demonstrate passion, ambition and commitment.
Social Impact Award
This award recognises a company initiative or campaign, which is making a positive impact in the wider world.
Whatever the size of the screen and wherever you choose to watch it, what audiences want is great content. This award recognises projects which give creative talents the tools they need, from acquisition to post production.
Great content is no use if it does not reach the eyes and ears of the consumer. This award celebrates the best new ways to manage content and connect creators and consumers, or creators and their collaborators.
Consumers today expect to be engaged, wherever they are, whatever device is to hand. This award celebrates the connected experience, whether it is an app, a delivery strategy or the internet of things.
Exhibition Stand Design Awards
Most Innovative Use of Shell Scheme Space
These stands should be visually striking, welcoming, accessible, and above all clear in the messaging and story of the brand.
Best Smaller Free Design
Smaller free design stands are those up to 100 square metres.
Best Larger Free Design
This award is for larger stands over 100 square metres.
Outstanding Achievement Awards
International Honour for Excellence
The highest honour IBC bestows, the International Honour for Excellence is awarded each year to an individual or organisation that has made an outstanding contribution to the media, entertainment and technology industry.
The Judges’ Prize may be drawn from the nominations in the three Innovation Award categories, or it may be another project which has caught the judges' eye because of its creative, technical or commercial imagination.
When there is a person or programme has gone the extra mile and achieved something truly remarkable, IBC will give a Special Award.
Best Technical Paper
The Technical Papers programme is seen as the most important global arena to unveil the latest in cutting edge research.
