There has not been much change in Covid levels across Europe since IBC’s May Covid market update.
Covid levels across Europe continue to fall, including within The Netherlands.
Large scale events have concluded across Europe with no disruption including ISE (Barcelona), ANGA (Cologne).
The return to safe and successful trade shows within the EU is also mirrored across the globe. NAB (Las Vegas), CABSAT (Dubai) returned successfully to in-person events with no significant Covid disruption.
The positive feedback from these events has created a strong favourable sentiment towards IBC2022 taking place successfully.
The environment and protocols have been very similar across all these events. Social distancing was not the norm or required, and mask usage was low.
It should be noted that some attendees are still using a mask. The evidence so far shows that attendees and exhibitors are very are mindful and respectful of individual views and the needs of others.
The up-coming Broadcast Asia (Singapore June1-3) event will provide more insight into the Asian market.
IBC’s experts and advisors will continue to review the data from across the globe and provide regular status reports.
The next update will be July 1st.
