What’s the aim of the POC?
The aim of this POC will be to physically create assets using specific Immersive XR software in conjunction with traditional production tools, with a focus on animation or photo-real live action output for rectilinear, AR, VR or games formats. These end result use cases will showcase how the work was created using content feeds via Real-Time game engines (Unity and Unreal), show how it will optimise output in a short video production diary and import to a Real-Time Engine for render and finish.
What’s the Innovation?
In bringing “RT-3D” to life, the workflow framework must form the core of the creation process when compared with traditional methods to generate measurable benefits between the different approaches, with VR and AR software at the heart of the process. Critically, the production diary should show what efficiencies the XR Real Time workflow has over ‘traditional’ workflows.
This project is open to all Participants within the creative studios and animation sector, with expertise in 3D animation and the curiosity for exploring XR spatial design workflows and outputs.
