IEEE: Filling in the gaps – technologies to support new broadcast infrastructures
The transition to new broadcast systems is, of course, dependent on major standards areas such as compression and transmission. But successful deployment requires a range of peripheral technologies to support the new infrastructure. This session examines three relevant areas including a role for 5G in supporting new capabilities, the issue of security in Studio-to-Transmitter links, and new “network-friendly” precision timing systems. Experts from three countries will provide their insight.
