Where innovation has no limits

Kickstart Day is a full day programme focusing on media industry innovation and importantly a series of pitches for new Accelerator project ideas selected from submissions received via the official application process. The event will also include networking drinks and the presentation of the 2022 Accelerator Project of the Year Award.

The IBC Accelerator Kickstart Day is free to attend for broadcasters, platforms, studios and key media & technology vendors in the ecosystem, however please note attendance will also be limited due to venue capacities - in which case IBC will endeavour to provide options to view the event online - with details announced close to the event. What industry challenges will next year's Accelerators take on? 

The IBC Accelerator Innovation Programme has, since its inception in 2019, reflected key emerging themes and challenges within the broad media & entertainment eco-system.

The IBC Accelerator Kickstart day is an opportunity to get involved and learn more about the programme – a framework to support fast-track collaboration and innovation, identifying, addressing and solving business and technology challenges in a matter of months.

Submissions for projects can focus on any area of the industry’s big picture transformation or in specific areas, such as:

• 5G and Connectivity
• Cloud and Virtualisation
• IP Transport & Networking
• AI/ML, Content Security, Blockchain
• Sustainability
• Ad-Tech
• Remote Production
• Metaverse/Web3
• Immersive/XR technologies

Only 8 projects will be selected to be a part of the programme and present their final POC results at IBC2023 in September and your voice counts!
